Clawson High School|Night for McKnight

Feb 25

Tuesday the Clawson Varsity Basketball Programs hosted South Lake in a pivotal division matchup on the basketball court.  It was a great game but it was also much more than that. “The Small Town with a Big Heart” came together to support one of their own as he and his Family recover from a serious medical issue. Doug McKnight who is often referred to as ,Coach–Dad–Husband–Friend–Teacher–and Mentor suffered a heart attack in early January. He surprised everyone by walking in to the game that night!!! The night was full of auctions, fundraisers, General Dogs hotdogs, lots of emotion, and even Stormtroopers!  Thank you so much for everyone that came out and showed support for a man who has given so much to the community and others. All proceeds, prayers, support, and donations went directly to Coach McKnight and the McKnight Family.  The best part of being from a small town is that when someone needs support everyone knows about it and helps however they can.  I was honored to go back to my high school and capture this event and some family shots for a past teacher of mine. Here is a quick glance and the night.
